Local 186 is making history, again, as Teamsters Local 186 Secretary Treasurer Abel Garcia has been elected to the Ventura and Santa Barbra Counties Building Trades as Vice President.
In the Past, Teamsters Local 186 had not been involved with Building trades.
Secretary Treasurer Garcia said, "Teamsters work everyday on construction sites, it's up to us to police and claim our jurisdiction on these jobs. "I am honored- that all the other trades supported me in the election."

Hi, I saw you guys outside the transit center at Santa Barbara, California. I just wanted to congratulate Garcia and maybe ask if he can assist me somehow. I’m 5’0 with a separated AC Joint/Shoulder and winged scapula caused by Dr. Proctor in 2019. In 2020 I filed a medical board complaint vs Dr Proctor and got a 2nd opinion dr by name of Dr. Romero. Long story short Dr. Romero falsified medical documents and caused my complaint to go unresolved, then I filed a complaint vs Romero for intentional delaying my diagnosis and treatment and for refusing to sign a DCSS (Child Services) Medical Verification Report for court because I couldn’t pay child support due to my injuries caused…
